As promised, I'm putting up the first of what I hope will be many galleries and articles inspired by my latest trip to Greece last fall. This was part of my ten day road trip around the Peloponnesos, and it did not disappoint.
Have you been to Mani? If you have, I'm sure you have great memories of it's stern, rocky beauty, it's deep history and it's dazzling beaches.
If you've never been, click here to get a little virtual tour of this amazing region of Greece. Known in times past for it's infamous feuds, fierce independence and generally badassery, Mani is literally Greece's middle finger. (Just look at a map - they really had no choice but to be that way.)
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I want to wish you a very Happy New Year, but I also kind of want to just tiptoe quietly into 2022 without bumping into anything or knocking anything over, so it doesn't notice me. After the past couple of years, I don't want to make too much of a fuss, because...*gestures all around*. Here we are. AGAIN. Back to the high COVID numbers and all the rest. Ugh.
